The recent evolution of civil disobedience has resulted in an increase concern of events escalating into riots and other forms of civil disturbances. While the author is aware of the non-violent nature of the civil disobedience movement, information from both camps, the authorities and the demonstrators can help develop preparedness plans with the goal of reducing the risk for violent outcomes.
